WHAT IS FAFSA?

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is used for awarding federal student aid. All students must submit FAFSA in order to receive financial aid. The application is available online or by paper application, here


 
 

EARLY BIRD GETS THE WORM 

Below are the deadlines for the 2018-19 school year:

Federal Deadline

Online applications must be submitted by midnight Central Time, June 30, 2019.
Any corrections or updates must be submitted by midnight Central Time, September 14, 2019.

State Deadline

Illinois - As soon as possible after October 1, 2017. Awards made until funds are depleted.

College Deadline
Check with the college(s) you are interested in attending. You may also want to ask your college about its definition of an application deadline - whether it is the date the college receives your FAFSA, or the date your FAFSA is processed.

FILE IT

No matter what your financial situation, we recommend you still file for FAFSA. By filing for federal financial aid you are securing your eligibility for the future, even if you are not eligible now. When filing for your financial aid, please use the College of DuPage school code: 006656.
